About Us:

Rum Runnas Podcast Network is the brainchild of its founders and longtime friends Jarred and Kyle. After meeting while selling TV’s (and initially not getting off to the best start) the two quickly became friends and through a shared, seemingly unique, sense of humor the name Rum Runnas was created but with no place to use it. Over the next decade the two tried multiple ideas in the attempt to create something that they could create and run the way they wanted. It took time for the two to realize that their natural rapport and brand of humor was best served in the podcast space. Together they created The Rum Runnas Podcast and though they initially had little to no experience (or direction) they quickly found their stride in the world of covering and ultimately mocking weird and funny clickbait news articles. That was the birth of The Rum Runnas Podcast that exists now but in the beginning it was more about fun, drinking and hanging out with their best friend.

After months of operating as a singular show both Jarred and Kyle felt the need to expand, creating new podcasts to encompass their larger interests. Bringing on new hosts (that also happened to be long time friends), Matt and Turtle came on board to assist Jarred and Kyle with their new Shows: The Dark Rum Podcast - A true crime/paranormal podcast exploring Kyle’s love of all things dark and spooky, and Talk Shonen - A nerd podcast highlighting Jarred’s love for comics, anime, video games and every nerd thing in between. As the shows progressed hosts rotated and new jobs and responsibilities were added but the group of friends realized they built a space to highlight indie podcasts and wanted to extend that further, changing Rum Runnas from just 3 shows to the Rum Runnas Podcast Network!

Shortly after getting the network up and running the boys partnered for a brief period of time with TLM Group before ultimately parting ways due to differences. During this partnership though they were introduced to Christina the founder of Lehigh Valley Food, they worked together to help further develop her brand as well as their network. Turning the Lehigh Valley Food podcast into a distributed radio show and bringing more shows onto the network. RRPN has now grown to incorporate multiple like minded indie podcasts from all over the country, people who enjoy the field and want to grow together. It’s Rum Runnas goal to offer a space for small to large indie podcasts to come together and nurture an environment of mutual respect and support and where any and all like minded creators can feel welcome!

The Rum Runnas Crew has now grown to be more than a crew, now they are…The RRPN Family!
